The Three Spheres : Financial, Social, Environmental

Envirolution seeks to address an imbalance.

Envirolution recognizes three types of interdependent wealth: Environmental, Social, and Financial. Our society's disproportionate emphasis on financial wealth has led to a pinnacle of human development; however, our world's environmental and social wealths have suffered. This unfortunate trend is at the root of many of the problems that we face today. What's lacking is a basic awareness of and appreciation for the interdependence of our society, environment, and economy - which comprise what we call "the Three Spheres."

Envirolution is simply a fusion of the Three Spheres. We see beauty in their balance, and we seek to rally around the environment because it is in the most imminent peril and its future indisputably affects us all. A society which values each type of wealth equally will find a more unified and healthy quality of life for a greater amount of the population. This is what Envirolution is all about. Thus, Envirolution is an organization dedicated to teaching and proving the philosophy of the Three Spheres. We seek to empower individuals, businesses, and organizations to change their perspectives and lifestyles in order to benefit from the opportunities that arise from being environmentally and socially conscious on a personal and professional level. By empowering the next generation to be leaders in sustainability, we ensure a healthy future for our planet, our communities, and our economy.

I completely agree - we need to define wealth much more broadly than we have over the past century. This ideal of people/planet/profits has another term in the business world: The Triple Bottom Line. I recently wrote a book on the topic, and set up a website too (www.thetriplebottomline.net). Since our readers seem to have a great deal in common, I encourage you to check it out when you have the chance.

Love the three spheres focus, very visual, simple, and resonates with youth. Just wrote about you on Shaping Youth here:

I can agree with this standpoint, however it seems a little hypocritical to claim they work independently and crave balance, yet stictly focusing on environment in the hope that it will balance out the other two.
